Sending an invoice

Create an invoice from a job, email it to your customer, and let them pay online (with Stripe connected).

Invoices in Fieldwright are always attached to a job and a client. Both are required.

  1. Start a new invoice

Open Invoices and tap New invoice. Or open a job and tap + New invoice — it's the same flow either way.

  2. Pick the job and client

Both required. If you started from a job, the job is already linked.

  3. Add line items, due date, and notes

Use the default payment terms from Settings, or override the due date on this invoice.

  4. Tap Save and send

    A Send invoice window opens.

  5. Confirm the recipient and tap Send

Defaults to the email on the client record. Update it if needed.

What your customer sees

They get an email with a link to a clean invoice page. If Stripe is connected and active, they see a Pay now button. If not, they see your contact info so they can pay by check, cash, or however you've agreed.

Resend or send to a different address

  1. Open the invoice from Invoices

Sent invoices stay on the list with a Sent badge.

  2. Tap Resend

Send to the same address, or update the recipient email before sending again.

Want clients to pay online? See Connecting Stripe for online payments.
