Field work

Daily logs, hours, and photos

Capture what happened on site each day so billing, photos, and time records stay tied to the job.

Daily logs are the unit of field work in Fieldwright. They tie a date, a worker, hours, notes, and photos together — so you don't have to reconstruct anything later.

Add today's log

  1. Open the job and tap the Field tab

Tabs sit under the job title.

  2. Tap Add today's log

Or use Add log on the Daily logs card. Either opens the same sheet.

  3. Write what happened on site

Short, plain-language notes are fine. Mention any issues, scope changes, or material runs.

  4. Log hours

Enter your hours (and hours for anyone working with you). These roll up to timesheets.

  5. Add photos

Tap Add photo and pick from your camera or library. Photos attach to the log and the job.

  6. Save

The log shows up on the job and counts toward that day's timesheet.

Find photos later

  1. Open the job's Docs tab

Photos from every daily log appear in the Photos gallery, newest first.

  2. Tap any photo to enlarge

Useful for sharing progress with a customer or referencing past work.

Crew can log their own. Crew members see the jobs they're assigned to in their app and submit their own daily logs and hours — same flow. See What crew members see.
