Moving a job through the pipeline

Lead → Scheduled → In Progress → Complete → Invoiced. Here's how to move forward one step at a time.

Every job follows the same order. You can't skip a step — finish the current one first. If you try to jump ahead, Fieldwright shows: “Complete each step in order: Lead → Scheduled → In Progress → Completed → Invoiced.”

Lead → Scheduled

  1. Open the job

Find it in Jobs or from the home dashboard.

  2. Set a start date on the Schedule card

As soon as you save a date, the job moves to Scheduled automatically and shows on the calendar.

Scheduled → In Progress

  1. Open the job

On the day you start the work, or whenever it's actually under way.

  2. Mark as In Progress

Use the status dropdown next to the title, or tap Mark as In Progress in the setup checklist.

In Progress → Complete

  1. Wrap up your daily logs and photos

Useful for your own records and for the customer if there's ever a question later.

  2. Change status to Complete

Use the same status dropdown next to the job title.

Complete → Invoiced

  1. Send an invoice from the job

Open the job, tap + New invoice, fill in the details, and Save and send. See “Sending an invoice” for the full walkthrough.

  2. Status updates on its own

Once the invoice is sent, the job moves to Invoiced automatically.

Lead and Scheduled jobs include a setup checklist. It shows what's left to do before the job can start (schedule, crew, estimate). Once everything's checked, the Mark as In Progress button is enabled.
