Adding a client

Create a client record so you can attach jobs, estimates, and invoices to them.

Only the client's name is required. Everything else can be added later as you learn it.

  1. Open Clients in the sidebar

    On mobile, tap the menu icon first, then Clients.

  2. Tap Add client

    A side panel slides in titled “Add client.”

  3. Type the client or company name

    This is the only required field. “Smith Residence” or “ABC General Contracting” both work.

  4. Add phone, email, address, and notes (optional)

    Email is useful later — you'll need it to send estimates and invoices.

  5. Tap Create client

    You'll see a “Client created” toast and land on the client's page, where you can add jobs.

Heads up. If a client with the same name already exists, Fieldwright shows a quick duplicate hint — you can pick the existing one or create a new record anyway.
